Tom Luczak : Senior Technology Architect

Tom grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania where he graduated High School and briefly attended Drexel University.

Following his stint at Drexel, Tom enlisted in the United States Army. He graduated with top test scores from the Russian Basic Course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

Tom continued his military career as an Cryptologic Linguist, serving in two overseas locations over six and a half years as a Technical Director, Project Manager, Global Network Analyst, Linguist, and Geospatial Analyst. Tom was also an actively involved member of the National Crytologic School. He became a member of the adjunct faculty in 2000 and co-authored a highly-technical course taught worldwide to members of the intelligence community. As a member of the adjunct faculty, Tom was involved in courses covering a large breadth of topics to include; Fixed and Mobile Telecommunications Systems, Network Operation, Network Security, Computer Data Network Traffic Recognition and Analysis, Radio Theory, Radio Frequency Modulation, and Astrodynamics.

Tom's interest in computers grew in response to his role in evaluation of national-level developmental collection and processing systems. Pursuing this interest, Tom earned his BS in Computer and Information Science from the University of Maryland, University College, European Division in 2006 while still serving in the Army.

Recognized by his military and Department of Defense peers and supervisors as a skilled computer programmer and user, he was called on to assist in development of several large information processing systems. Tom's areas of expertise include XML/XSLT, network operations, and multimedia over Internet Protocol systems.

Tom was selected as an overseas field site's 2004 Military Performer of the Year
(Enlisted Category) and was nominated for NSA/CSS Military Performer of the Year. Twice in his career Tom was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal. He was also awarded with a Joint Service Achievement Medal. Tom received the Academic Excellence Award and was recognized for exceptional oral communication and tactical leadership skills by the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in Hawaii.
